Our technical poling skiffs feature 100% vinyl ester construction, with stainless steel fasteners and fittings for longest life on the water.

Our History
We first developed our technical poling skiff ideas many years ago because we weren’t satisfied with the boats available on the market back then. For example, kayaks are simple and accessible, but we rejected them because it’s too hard for a fisherman to cast and fight while sitting so low, at the waterline.
Plus, we wanted to run and pole – not paddle. Kayaks and canoes left us sitting too low, and we couldn’t stand up and fish freely. Most skiffs on the marketplace are too “tippy” for safe casting and fighting.
Our technical poling skiff gets its DNA from Reid Zoller and his legendary wooden Ditchcraft Skate”. These skiffs evolved into a fully surfaced 3D CAD model. The 3D CAD design was utilized to CNC 5 axis machine all plugs and professionally build the composite production molds. NanoCraft Boats makes the extra effort to resin infuse each and every part. This infusion process is more costly, but it guarantees the best quality resin to glass ratio composite parts period.
After purchasing the molds and design rights from Hells Bay and Reid Zoeller in 2011, we put a different eye on the construction and materials going into each and every nano 13. We build on a limited production basis, not focused on quantity but rather quality. Once you have a chance to look over a nano 13, we think these differences will be obvious.
We know every boat will be a compromise in one fashion or another. It boils down to how and where you want to fish. The nano 13 is designed to float in the skinniest water conditions allowing you to fish and explore places other anglers wouldn’t think of going.
